Dr. Padilla received her Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland. She then went on to earn her Medical Degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Padilla served her Internal Medicine residency at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California General Hospital. Afterwards, having been a National Health Service Scholar, she worked for six years s a general practitioner in Venice Family Clinic, the nation’s largest free clinic based out of Venice Beach, California. There Dr. Padilla served as a Diabetes champion promoting multidisciplinary clinic-wide improved care for patients with diabetes. Afterward, she finished her Endocrinology Fellowship at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California General Hospital in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Padilla is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a Certified Diabetes Educator. She recently earned her certification as a Clinical Lipid Specialist (CLS) from the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology. Dr. Padilla has been involved in research and has made professional presentations on and published articles on a variety of topics related to diabetes, hypoglycemia, and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Padilla has served on the Advisory Board for the Latino Diabetes Association in Los Angeles and has been involved in medical volunteering trips to multiple countries including Ghana, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, and Ecuador. Dr. Padilla has received numerous awards and recognition for her efforts to promote health and wellbeing in the Latino community.

In her leisure time Dr. Padilla has volunteered with a dog rescue as a dog foster. She has been a competitive Ballroom and Salsa dancer. She also enjoys hiking and attending arts and cultural events throughout the city. Dr. Padilla has also been vegetarian since she was 13 years old. Dr. Padilla is looking forward to becoming part of the Jordan Valley community and helping the greater Salt Lake City area to achieve a healthier future.
